Bruce Miyahara is a public health management consultant and works with NWCPHP as a faculty facilitator for the Northwest Public Health- Primary Care Leadership Institute.
From 1993 to 1998, Bruce served as Secretary for the Washington State Department of Health during the development of its initial Public Health Improvement Plan. Prior to this role, Bruce was the Chief Administrative Officer/Deputy Director for Public Health Seattle & King County, and held many program and division management positions during his 15-year tenure.
In the early 1970’s, Bruce was a founder and first Executive Director of the International District Community Health Center, which provides health services for the non-English speaking Asian population of King County. Bruce holds a Master of Health Administration from the University of Washington.
