Kurt O'Brien teaches various leadership courses in the Northwest Public Health Leadership Institute program and helped co-develop the curriculum for the Northwest Public Health-Primary Care Leadership Institute.
Kurt is also a Senior Lecturer with the University of Washington’s Department of Health Services Master of Health Administration program, and is an independent consultant. He specializes in the areas of leadership development and coaching, interpersonal skills development, team development, strategic planning, and conflict resolution. Additionally, he designs and conducts workshops on topics such as dialogue, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and leading change.
Kurt was with the University of Washington Medicine for 15 years, including seven years as the Director of Organization Development and Training, where he worked with leaders and teams at all levels of the health system.
