Meagan Brown works with NWCPHP as an instructor in the Public Health Management Certificate program. She is a current PhD student at the University of Washington in the Department of Health Services. With interests in social and environmental determinants of health and implementation science, Meagan’s dissertation will explore methods of adapting previously tested public health interventions to underresourced community settings and plans on a career in academia bridging research and public health practice.
Meagan earned her MPH in Health Behavior from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2014, where her Capstone project focused on developing a workplace health promotion program with low-wage workers at UNC. Prior to attending UW, Meagan worked for FHI 360 evaluating the impact of international integrated health and development initiatives and has previously led trainings on topics such as program planning and evaluation and multi-sector collaborative research.
